In households with dogs and cats, the ease of cleaning upholstery is certainly an important factor. We offer collections that make it easier to clean the fabric and remove pet hair. Furthermore, these fabrics are more resistant than conventional ones to scratches caused by pets’ claws.
Simple recommendations to extend the lifespan of your furniture
1. Do not feed your pets on the sofa. Find a dedicated spot in your home for feeding times.
2. Avoid playing with your pet in relaxation areas. Do not get your best friend in the habit of playing in spaces where you wish to maintain a clean and aesthetically pleasing environment.
3. You cannot change a cat’s nature! It is important to have a scratching post at home that your cat is accustomed to using. To encourage them, you can rub catnip on the post or even hang some from it; cats love the scent.
4. Pay attention to your pets’ hygiene. Remember to brush them frequently and trim their claws.
These collections have been tested to confirm their superior resistance to snagging—specifically, the risk of pulled threads caused by scratching. In these laboratory tests, a fabric sample was placed on a rotating cylinder. A weighted object covered in spikes rested freely against the fabric sample. The cylinder was then set in motion, causing the spiked weight to bounce freely across the fabric’s surface. This test aimed to recreate the effect of a pet’s claws as realistically as possible.
The fabrics in our collections designated as “pet-friendly” have successfully passed these tests. These products offer above-average scratch resistance.
Superior durability is not synonymous with indestructibility.
We want to emphasize and clarify that, despite their enhanced durability, these fabrics remain materials that require care and have their own vulnerabilities. No fabric is indestructible or remains unaffected after, for example, being scratched by a cat.
